To give you the Cliffs Notes version:
For those of you who don't know, Killian James is a pretty famous, if not the most famous, RentBoy. He also use to be signed over at Randy Blue. Ever since he left the studio last year he hasn't been signed exclusively to any other gay porn studio.

Update On The Michael Hoffman/Brent Everett Controversy
So earlier today I posted about Michal's new video in which he claims that he didn't give Brent Everett or Steve Pena permission to re-sell his jerk-off videos. Well know the good folks over at Str8upgayporn have just posted this: http://str8upgayporn.com/brent-everett-michael-hoffman/
Now instead of this just being a matter of ethics there's now a whole legality situation behind this too. Brent Everett and other sites that have been selling the videos, at huge mark ups from what they paid for them, they have branded the images and videos with their logos and used Hoffman's videos to get people to pay for memberships to their sites. They need Michael's written permission to do this which, according to Michael, he never gave them.
Brent Everett reportedly has not responded to queries regarding the matter but the good folks over at Str8upgayporn received this from Steve Pena; Brent's partner and business manager:
"Steve Pena, Personnel Manager and Director of Public Relations for the company (and husband of Brent Everett) began discussions with Michael Hoffman in mid-December 2014 regarding possible collaboration with him to produce videos for the company. He made it clear that he was acting on behalf of the company and not as a private individual.
He offered Michael Hoffman $8,000 to $10,000 to act as model/performer in gay adult scenes for BrentEverett.com. Mr. Hoffman declined this offer. Steve Pena then offered to represent Michael Hoffman in order to obtain non-gay, non-adult nightclub appearances for him. Mr. Hoffman declined this offer as well.
Following this, Michael Hoffman offered to sell Steve Pena, acting for the company, 14 high definition videos of himself exercising and masturbating for $250. Steve Pena accepted this offer and the videos were paid for using PayPal. It is our understanding that Mr. Hoffman also offered to sell these videos to others."
Now legally Pena and Everett can say that Hoffman gave them implied consent since he knew he was dealing with a porn producer and a performer who runs a website.
However another little legality comes up: Pena and Everett do not provide Hoffman's proof of age. And while they didn't film Hoffman jerking off, they are distributing the materials which makes them secondary producers which means they still have to keep a record of Hoffman's age at the time of production.
So what do you guys think of this? Legal? Illegal? Should Hoffman get a lawyer and sue? Did Everett and Pena act under implied consent? Let me know your thoughts.

Michael Hoffman Goes On YouTube, Calls Out Brent Everett And Says He Regrets His Past
Okay, I do have to admit that when I saw the link to this video on some of the other sites I clicked it fully intending to see some melodramatic YouTube melt down from a delusional wannabe celebrity/porn star. However, clicking on the video and watching it, I actually feel really, really bad for Michael Hoffman.
Okay, backstory, for those of you who don't know, Hoffman is a young amateur bodybuilder. I think he was born in '93 so he's 22; still a baby. Michael then goes on to say that he doesn't know Brent Everett and that he never gave permission for Brent to sell his videos through his website. Okay here's where it now gets interesting.
Now according to the guys over at Str8upgayporn Brent Everett and his partner Steve Pena have sent them screen caps of texts they allegedly have with Michael Hoffman discussing prices for Michael's videos which, by the way Hoffman seriously UNDERPRICES his videos!!!!, and there is even a screenshot of the PayPal transaction. Everett has also claimed that he spoke to Michael on the phone.
So who's lying? I don't know Michael Hoffman so I can't say. I am only Facebook friends with Brent and Steve so I can't say but I am real life friends with real life friends of Brent and Steve's so I could probably find out the truth.
I honestly don't know who or what to believe. It is possible that Brent and Steve could have been the victims of a catfish who was impersonating Michael. It could be possible that he really never gave permission for people to post his videos publicly and just thought they'd be used for private use. It's also possible that as he's growing up and seeing that actions have consequences that he's trying to do some damage control and take some heat off himself. I don't know.
I personally feel very sorry for him. What I got out of the video is that this is a good looking, young, extremely naïve kid which is why I think he comes from a small town and I mean no offense to small town folk, who got in way over his head and did get taken advantage of and who put his trust in the wrong people. I get the vibe of someone who is living a life that is not what they envisioned and is kind of floundering looking for something to clutch onto to stay afloat.
Whatever he is going through I do wish him well and hope that he has some real friends and family he can turn to and that will give him guidance and support.

Steven Richards Retiring From Porn After 14 Years
First news story after being back from my little retirement. Kind of fitting that it's about this.
Anyway, like most people's reactions when I read this story over at Str8upgay porn I went, "who?" Followed by: "damn 14 years and no body seems to know who this guy is." I actually feel bad about that.
I actually Googled him and there's, unfortunately, not a lot of biographical info about him. If there was I'd do a proper Spotlight post on him but from some of the pictures from his younger days he actually had a decent body on him.
From what I can gather from his career he did some bareback stuff as well as some fisting videos. He had a few appearances in scenes from the A list studios like Hot House, Titan Media, Raging Stallion and All Worlds Video, but unfortunately he never quite found his footing among them and most of his career was regulated to the B list and low rent studios.
I did find out that he began his career back in 2000 in a Casey and Peter O'Brien film. He also did a lot of work with Jake Cruise and Treasure Island Media including their infamous Viral Loads video that they released last year; I'll be doing a post about that one soon.
His retirement comes on the same day that Cocksure Men released his final scene: a bareback scene with Matt Stevens. Maybe I'm just this big of a dork but it's kind of cool that his last scene is with someone who has almost the same name as him. :)

So some interesting news. After announcing the pre-mature retirement of the blog and moving to Tumblr territory because of Google's ban of sexually explicit blogs, it looks like I may be safe as Google has reversed it's decision.
I'm thinking this blog may be safe as well since I'm not linking to any commercial porn sites and I'm not making any money from the blog. I'm using this as a platform to entertain and educate people about the industry.
I have created a Tumblr and I will be posting pics and other random goodies there but for the time being I will continue to blog. Sorry I was MIA, it was an incredibly busy week of auditions, a red carpet event and trying to get my next erotic novel done. I promise I will have some awesome posts on some exciting news and some spotlights on some hot performers soon. Hopefully within the next few hours.
