Spotlight On Elodie Cherie

Maybe it's just a natural thing with all French women but there's just something beautiful and classic about Elodie which is why I wanted to spotlight her. I just wish there was more information out there on this beautiful woman.
She was born on August 29th, 1966 in Saint-Etienne, Loire, France as Marie Claude Ouali; even her name-both stage and real-sound regal and classy and dignified. I love it!
While working in a factory, she began doing amateur films to escape from the monotonous world and in 1992 she began working on more professional films winning the 1996 Hot d'Or Award in the Best Supporting Actress category for her work in La Princesse et la Pute.

She also appeared in the mainstream films Time Demon, Terror Of Prehistoric Bloody Monster From Space-which just sounds awesome!-and one of my personal favorites, Baise Moi; if you haven't seen this film or read the book when you are finished reading this post go out and get copies of both. You won't be disappointed.
In 2000 Cherie was nominated for a second Hot d'Or Award in the Best European Supporting Actress category. She would retire from the industry the next year; huge loss. :(
Aside from her work in the industry, Elodie was a spokesperson of Magic Fans which is the association of supporters of AS Saint-Etienne.
Elodie, wherever you are and whatever you are doing, thank you for bringing a touch of class to the industry. You are missed but you will not be forgotten.

XOXO
-JOE-
