Wow. What a beautiful woman. Unfortunately it is hard to find good pictures of her so I'll share what I found with you guys.
She was born Maria Christina in Burbank, California and grew up in Simi Valley. She had 5 brothers and 5 sisters and allegedly lost her virginity at 17. She met her husband, fellow porn performer, Mickey G while working in the administration department at their local hospital.
In 1994 at the age of 27 she entered the business. Her and Mickey began doing amateur videos together.
Cute couple right? He was her only husband and they stayed married until her tragic death.
She was a contract girl for Wicked Pictures for a while and was well known for doing sex scenes that included multiple partners and being on the receiving end of rough and aggressive sex.
Sadly, she passed away on August 13th, 2008 from an accidental prescription drug overdose in Valencia, California. She was only 40 years old.
This beautiful woman, who looks like she'd be more at home on a soap set then a porn set, appeared in 443 films! She also directed, wrote and produced two: Eros and Heart and Soul. She also went by the names Misti, Missie and Natasha Marie.
She is both an AVN and XRCO Hall of Fame inductee and was a 5 time AVN nominee, winning 4 times as well as a three time XRCO winner. She also was nominated for the NightMoves Award fan's choice category for Best New Starlet.
Here are three quotes I found of hers that I absolutely love and I think they speak volumes for what kind of woman she was. You can almost hear her voice in your head as you read them:
"My parents know about my work. They don't agree. But they have their life and and I have mine."
When asked about performing in hardcore films: "I don't worry too much about acting. I just try to have a good time. I watch my scenes so I can learn how I can act better. I've always been shy and performing has helped me overcome that."
And this one is my favorite, I don't know why: "I'm a shy, sensitive person. I care about people."
Here is a sad fact: AVN was not made aware of her death and did not report it until September 29th, over a month after she had passed away. The information was deliberately withheld by her family as they didn't want of any of Missy's porn colleagues to attend her funeral.
Okay I get that you may be sad and upset about your daughter's death and may blame the industry but I think to keep that information a secret so that people who were her friends aren't able to say goodbye and get closure is very cruel and heartless. Everyone should have the chance to say goodbye to their friends and loved one.
Missy, wherever you are, I hope you are at peace and happy. We miss and lover you!
